Vicki is here to help you understand photography.
Our Coaching and Workshops are Focused on You... Workshops and classes are designed to be (1:1) one on one - you and the Instructor, Vicki Stanwycks. In Our Sessions all the attention is focused on you. Any questions or information that needs more attention is at your pace and not at the pace of a class with many participants.
The Stanwycks Photography Studio offers Photography Coaching workshops, and classes for the beginner - to seasoned shooters wanting to get more from their Photography Experience.
We also offer more in depth coaching for those who want to use their camera skills for a more professional career goal, as a freelancer or in the studio.

I started my studio in New Orleans, Sink or Swim...
It was something I had to do. I renovated my building and dove right in. We were shooting film and with 4x5 view cameras for advertising and Aerial assignments up and down the Mississippi River and the Gulf!

I won $5000. of Digital software and didn't have a Digital Camera
Life changing winning software, I did get a camera... and went pure digital. Mardi Gras lined up in front of my studio. I shot 30,000 pictures a year of Mardi Gras... and was the first in NOLA to post and sell photos on-line. We had over 12 photographers...
I went to school for life coaching and started teaching photography combined w/life coaching
I was running my studio and teaching people - photography. I was teaching Workshops throughout New Orleans, the French Quarter and in the Swamps. Photography Boot Camp became popular for many.
I worked teaching and shooting whilst taking care of my mom
It was hard and it was rewarding. I was with my mom in her time of need. I worked as well to keep my business going. I went back and forth from NOLA to Mississippi. It was presented a good change for my life.
I started another studio on the Mississippi Gulf Coast
and now I live here full time and gave up the studio in New Orleans. I love the Mississippi Gulf Coast. My studio here is doing great and I am teaching all the time and get to shoot stuff for myself.

I renovated so I could have more room to work
Renovating is never fun, but it's good when you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am so glad I made space and now I have great space to work in.
Updated all my processes, including computers and workflow
I have reworked how, what and where I coach and it's been very beneficial for all and has made a better impact on those I work with and everyone is loving it.
I am kind of happy with my life and doing exactly what I want to do.
Last year was good and I am excited about what's to come next. I love working with people and helping their creative selves grow! Teachers are always learning and I am always learning from those I teach.
It didn't happen overnight, it was a lot of work.
